Kinghelm's Headquarters Quality Control Officer: Guo Xiaochuan

September 2024 marks the 47th National “Quality Month” in China, and Guangdong has launched its 2024 "Quality Month" activities. From "Enhancing Quality Support, Building a Strong Quality Nation" to "Integrity in Quality, Action with Substance," and now "Strict Quality Control, Quality is a Must," all sectors of society are implementing real, meaningful actions. Among them, Kinghelm (www.kinghelm.net) and Slkor (www.slkoric.com), as exemplary enterprises in the electronics and semiconductor industries, have steadfastly followed the philosophy of "Improving Quality and Efficiency to Drive Development" under the leadership of General Manager Mr. Song Shiqiang for more than a decade. These companies consider product quality to be the lifeblood of the business. To get an inside look at this, we interviewed Guo Xiaochuan, Quality Control Officer at Kinghelm's headquarters, to showcase the company's impressive capabilities as a leading technical manufacturer with its own brand.

Guo Xiaochuan

Guo Xiaochuan, born in Hubei in 1989, has now settled in Chongming Island, Shanghai, with his family. His move to Shanghai carries a touching story. As Guo explained, “My father served in the army in Shanghai when he was young and became close friends with a comrade, who later became a beloved member of our family. We called him ‘Uncle'. Over the years, my sister even married his son, I married last year (2023), and my wife is his daughter. Our family moved to Shanghai when our house in Hubei was demolished as part of a development project. His kindness to us has been unwavering for decades, and I've come to see him as a second father."

Raised in such a warm and loving environment, Guo Xiaochuan naturally embraced life's journey with courage. In 2014, he left Shanghai for Shenzhen, starting his career in purchasing, while also managing quality control and inspection. This marked the beginning of his 10-year career in quality control. Guo joined Kinghelm in July 2022, and after receiving recognition in 2023 for his training in Total Quality Management, he was awarded 500 RMB and later honored as the “Star of the Week” in 2024 for his achievements. “Kinghelm and Slkor have grown significantly under General Manager Song Shiqiang's leadership, and I'm very satisfied with all aspects of the company. In particular, my direct supervisor, Li Jianhui, has been the best leader I've encountered in my 10 years. His skills are exceptional, and he is both fair and principled—strict but fair.”

Kinghelm has been steadily expanding over the past 18 years, developing a competitive advantage. The "Kinghelm" brand products now hold a strong position in terms of production costs and quality control, providing Guo with a solid platform to carry out his work. Based in Kinghelm's transfer warehouse in Longhua District, Shenzhen, Guo's responsibilities include quality inspection and shipping. He is highly familiar with electronic components—names, specifications, models, units of measure, packaging quantities, safety markings, performance, and uses. Guo is able to create detailed records, ledgers, and material cards for all types of components and can apply this knowledge flexibly. He has mastered every step of the process, from checking packaging appearance, quickly interpreting customer blueprints, using tools like calipers and magnifying lamps to measure product data (appearance, material, size, etc.), to preparing high-temperature and salt spray corrosion test reports, and finally packaging, weighing, and shipping. Guo has established long-term communication with Kinghelm's technical advisor Zhang Wujun, the production base in Luzhai, Guangxi, the R&D department, and the headquarters sales team, ensuring seamless coordination between R&D, supply chain, and sales, as well as smooth information and product flow.

According to General Manager Song Shiqiang, Kinghelm and Slkor, as original technology manufacturers, have established a strong dual-brand strategy with their "Kinghelm" (www.kinghelm.net) and "Slkor" (www.slkormicro.com) product lines. These brands are growing rapidly, serving over 10,000 clients worldwide. Guo notes that Kinghelm is continuously exploring new materials and technologies to develop innovative products. He has inspected thousands of products, with the exception of new research and development items and special custom products. Guo also mentioned the recent launch of Kinghelm's high-speed signal connectors, ports, and terminal series, which support industries like AI and big data. In particular, the KH-MPL04B-4TJW and KH-MPL11-12G6TJW6 20kW power module connectors for charging stations have gained significant attention on Lichuang Mall (https://list.szlcsc.com/brand_page/11647.html), quickly increasing market share and driving traffic to Slkor's stores in Huaqiangbei, Shenzhen.
