In the spring breeze of reform and opening-up, Shenzhen, China, a dynamic and youthful city, has become a miracle in China's economic development history and a significant achievement of the reform and opening-up. Huaqiangbei, as a barometer of Shenzhen's and even China's electronics market, epitomizes this miracle. On August 6, 2024, led by Professor Zhang Songhai and Teacher Zhao Dongqing from Tsinghua University, sophomore students from the School of Economics and Management and the School of Computer Science visited Huaqiangbei. Accompanied by SLKOR General Manager Song Shiqiang and Dongjieshi Inductor General Manager Yan Dongjie, they explored Huaqiangbei Electronic World, New Asia Electronics Market, SEG Electronics Market, the Huaqiangbei Museum, and two SLKOR stores in Huaqiangbei. This marked the beginning of a profound "Political Ideology Practice" journey of observation, learning, and reflection.

Entering Huaqiangbei Electronic World, the students felt as though they were in a vast technology maze. They were greeted by rows of small stalls, each filled with various electronic components on display. The narrow aisles were crowded with students in purple attire, who, intrigued by the array of electronic products and the unique pricing of Huaqiangbei, observed everything with curiosity.

Next, we entered the Huaqiangbei Museum, where a small guide led us through a captivating narrative and historical photos. This journey through intertwined stories felt like a time travel, showcasing Huaqiangbei's transformation from a small fishing village to a renowned international electronics market. After the tour, the guide asked Professor Zhang Songhai from Tsinghua University for an autograph, leaving a memorable mark of our visit to Huaqiangbei.

After the visit, Mr. Song Shiqiang, General Manager of SLKOR and Kinghelm, detailed the development history, current status, and future prospects of Huaqiangbei in a conference room. Using "Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow of Huaqiangbei" as the framework, Mr. Song, a long-time Huaqiangbei local with deep affection for the area, shared vivid and rich case studies that illustrated the stories behind Huaqiangbei's economic miracle. He also introduced the spirit and culture of Huaqiangbei, conveying a deep sense of pride and affection for the region in his speech.

After listening to Mr. Song Shiqiang's lecture, the students were not only intrigued by the development model and technological innovations of Huaqiangbei but also showed keen interest in the companies he manages, SLKOR and Kinghelm. Mr. Song addressed the students' questions with patience, drawing on his extensive industry experience and sharp insights.

At the end of the event, Professor Zhang Songhai from Tsinghua University presented Mr. Song Shiqiang with a creative gift featuring the "Tsinghua Second Gate." Through this gate, one could sense the profound cultural heritage of Tsinghua University and the diligent spirit of its students. It is hoped that this "Huaqiangbei journey" will bring valuable insights to the students and inspire them to continue advancing in their future paths, contributing to economic development in China and around the world.
