In the sultry July of southern China, where scorching sunlight baked the earth, occasionally interrupted by sudden downpours, I embarked on a summer internship journey with SLKOR as I prepared to step into my graduate studies in September. The vibrant season seemed to gift me with its intense heat and unexpected thunderstorms, a fitting farewell before my departure from Shenzhen, China, to a distant city.

SLKOR, a semiconductor company, is housed in a modern office building conveniently located next to a subway station, exuding both practicality and luxury. Upon entering the company lobby for the first time, I was struck by its cleanliness and professional atmosphere. The elevator to the twentieth floor marked the beginning of my summer internship experience.

Recently graduated from Guangzhou University with a major in finance, my academic background seemed worlds apart from the high-tech semiconductor industry. However, this internship provided me with a fresh perspective and invaluable learning opportunities. My primary tasks included translating product specifications, industry articles, and optimizing the English website. One of the most unforgettable experiences during my internship journey with SLKOR was the two field trips to Huaqiangbei. Despite growing up in Shenzhen, China, I had only heard of Huaqiangbei's reputation, and visiting it in person was a first-time experience that left a lasting impression on me. Huaqiangbei stands as a fortress of technology and commerce, with towering buildings lining the streets, neon lights flickering, pulsing with the heartbeat of a modern metropolis. It is not just a commercial district but a hub for electronic components, attracting me with its diverse array of technological treasures. The bustling streets filled with people and the intertwining sounds of multiple languages added to its vibrant atmosphere.

On a rainy day, I accompanied my colleagues on a mission to distribute umbrellas. It was during this time that I truly understood why our company stands strong in the semiconductor industry. We are not just a company but a community that values human care deeply. Witnessing my colleagues personally handing umbrellas to those in genuine need deeply moved me. In that moment, I realized that our success stems not only from technological innovation but also from our genuine care and warmth towards every individual. In the rain, I saw a colleague escorting a mother and her child under an umbrella to shelter, a scene that felt like a heartwarming tableau etched forever in my memory. Another colleague captured this touching moment with a camera, and whenever I recall that instant, my heart still fills with gratitude and warmth.

During my internship journey at SLKOR, I not only made significant strides in my technical skills but also experienced a profound emotional growth that has left a lasting impact on me. This journey was not just a work experience but a pivotal part of my personal development, reinforcing my belief in the importance of care and dedication behind a company's success.

One particularly unforgettable field assignment was delivering fans in Huaqiangbei. It was a scorching hot day, and under the blazing sun, myself and a few colleagues took on the mission to bring a bit of relief to passersby. Playing the role of a messenger with fans was a daunting challenge for me. As a somewhat shy young woman, standing in the bustling streets amidst a sea of people was inherently testing. But as time passed, I gradually shed my initial fears and immersed myself in this vibrant and energetic district.

That day, the heat was relentless, and amidst the hurried pedestrians, each face carried its own story and expectations. I felt like a wandering note, moving through the city's symphony, bringing a touch of coolness to those oppressed by the heat. With fans in my hands, I moved them like a gentle breeze, softly brushing against every gaze that met mine. Initially feeling somewhat awkward, unsure how to face each unfamiliar glance and smile, I soon began to open up. With every fan given out, I found myself releasing inhibitions and embracing the moment.

It was then that I realized how close people can be, how mere steps can bridge distances and dissolve barriers. Every person who accepted a fan from me did so with gratitude, and their thankful smiles resonated deeply with me, melting away any lingering anxieties. This experience taught me invaluable lessons about human connection and the power of small gestures in making a difference.

I learned how to find my comfort and confidence amidst scorching summer days, a journey that nurtured not only my skills but also my personal growth. In this bustling and vibrant district, I experienced the sweetness of growth and understood the importance of courageously opening up my inner self. This field assignment not only gave me a deep understanding of Huaqiangbei but also brought me a precious wealth in interpersonal relationships — sincerity and warmth.

The company's work environment also left a deep impression on me. Whether for newcomers or interns, colleagues were full of patience and care. Whenever I encountered confusion, there was always someone willing to patiently answer my questions and guide me on how to better accomplish my tasks. They made me feel warmth and care.

Guo Jie, during my initial days at work, took me to try various local cuisines near the company, helping me quickly adapt to company life. Yajun patiently answered my various questions every day; despite our similar ages, we often had endless topics to discuss. She was not only a mentor at work but also a friend in my personal life.

Manager Huang, though appearing serious, continuously guided and pushed me for my growth, teaching me to be more meticulous and focused.

And our boss, Mr. Song, a kind and approachable person, regularly showed concern for my work and personal well-being. He even noticed and offered care when I had a cold, demonstrating his unique leadership charm. He always welcomed employees' suggestions and ideas openly, making us feel at home and emphasizing the importance of our work to the company.

In this scorching summer, I have learned how to swiftly adapt and learn in a unfamiliar field, not only becoming a better professional but also leaving a profound memory in my heart.
